Pear

This pear was done two years ago and I am just now painting another to make them a "pair of pears".   I hope to get busy this winter and paint a number of fruits and veggies in this style.

  2. 8 x 10. I am painting the partner pear now. I painted this two years ago and was bored with the realistic version underneath. I really had fun and my husband, who prefers realism was so shocked. But I plan on doing a whole series of fruit and veggies like this. I have a ton of farmers market photos. I see my blog post was never corrected. These were notes to myself when I was setting it up... Paypal is coming soon ... I see you put one up on your blog.

  3. Yeah, I love the pear. The color is what catches your eye! I tried painting a cherry last night, I ended up scraping it all off the canvas! I may take my paypal links down. I read somewhere that It is best to let the customer contact you. Maybe the Customer will feel more comfortable buying directly from the artist. Would love to see more Veggies! Cant wait to see what the partner pear looks like! :-)

  4. Now I read that "contact me..." is intimidating. Customers are afraid the price will be too high. I can say I "have been there" and NOT contacted the artist. Buy Now allows one to see the amount. One can always say contact me if you have any questions. I have a site I need to forward you to... It is all about marketing yourself. I will look tomorrow and give the info on your blog.

  5. Cant Wait to read more! Thanks for sharing, you are so sweet. I keep my prices low...20.00-$200.00. Sometimes I give paintings away on Etsy. I know pricing is tough. Some people charge too much while others are giving it away, i would pay more. i have to say...I LOVE COLLECTING ART! Drives my husband crazy! He is like just paint it yourself! But there is something unique in each piece that i cant capture or that i admire in someone elses art. :-)
